defo ready? he dont tell me when he needs to wee (apart from a couple of times) i guess take him to toilet and he wees but this morning he threw a major padddy and weed everywhere is he going to wee everytime he has a paddy cos if he is then it really aint worth trying yet. im really not sure what to do for the best

this is the bit called toilet training Nikki he has to learn what it feels like to want to wee and no matter when you train he has to learn this part himself all you need to do is be patient and dont stress out tell him its ok its only an accident be calm and never let him see its a worry cos that is when you run into problems this is why pull ups are better for the really early stages of p/t see most of us mums want the cute lil pants and to be honest its not worth the hassel he is only 2 Nikki give him a bit moretime he will get the hang of it the main thing is for you to stay so calm and let him enjoy learning and getting praise for when he does it right i found the special treat worked brill for Tyler i bought a toy and kept it on the cupboard and only let him have a little play with it when he had done a wee and i was really firm about it too he soon got the message and Jaden sounds a very bright boy so i think it could work with him but you know your own child

on the other hand dont feel a failure if it dint work this time go back to waiting till he decides again we have all done the same its how they learn cos its the same process every time they give it a go

See my mum told me never to bother with pull ups! Put them in pants/knickers and dont look back!! lol. But that just goes to show everyone has different experiences...

Ella was doing well but now afterabout 5 seconds of her nappy off she wants it back on! But hey shes not even 2 yet so im in no rush x

as you say its up to the individual but i meant to use them for the reason of not having pee everywhere and the kids do know they are wet cos they are not like nappies and you can tell when they pee cos they have lil patterns on that fade

at the end of the day nikki uv gta do it wen u feel hes redi only u can jugde that as none of us r there but yday did sund very postive but if its upsetting him then it may b worth waiting !!! i tryed with ella 4 a while but she reli isnt redi just yet n i dunt wnt 2 push it sooo she will were pants wen she wnts 2 but if she dsnt wnt 2 then that fine !!! iv decidded that i will wait now untill after xmas n then give her a go !!

see the warmer months are way better to try cos they can play outside and who cares then if they pee

to be honest us mums push this way too fast on our little ones and we really need to hang on and do it when all concerned are REALLY ready to do it and not before whats the point in everyone stressing out

yeah my friend tasha kept trying with her little girl, before she was 2 and she wasnt ready, and then she tried last week, put nickers on her told her to go on potty when she needs to go toilet and shes hardly had any accidents, obviously the odd one!!! she was even in town in nickers the other day!!! Now shes deffo ready

thanks for all your comments, all taken on board and i suppose all we can do is just see how he goes! he has gone upto mils today so taken him up in pants as he wanted his underpants on so told them how to go on as dont want them doing 1 thing with him and me doing another will confuse him! so we shall see im not going to push it on him just take his lead! thanks guys :)

well we are only on day 2 but hes only had 2 accidents in 2 days so i think its a good start

i wasnt worried about trainningf jason i was gonna wait til he was more ready.
it just clicked with jason when he was trained or i should say he did it himself just got up one monring and decided to use the big toi;et and wear pants, we never bothered with trainer pants as dint have time haha he hasnt looked back since.
